  • Long Course Weekend: Long Course Weekend Wales is always a fantastic weekend and this weekend didn’t disappoint. Very calm conditions on Friday evening made for fast swim times, a dry & calm day on Saturday meant good times on the (very tough) bike and Sunday had showers first thing moving into a humid and hot afternoon, all in all excellent conditions for Pembrokeshire in early July! We had 22 athletes doing various parts of the Long Course Weekend and many more friends doing it too, it’s a great weekend, if you get the chance to do some of it next year, do it!
  • Velothon Wales: Great weather provided good times for Velothon Wales. Well done to Angharad Brown, Rob Stroud, Chris Ward and Andy Backhouse who all produced very solid bike performances, nice work all!
  • Ironman Frankfurt: Mark Binding travelled to an extremely hot Frankfurt for the European Ironman Championships. Mark had a great swim and bike, but things go away from him on the run which resulted in a DNF. Things don’t always go to plan in big races, but it’s how to respond to them that makes the difference; I know Mark will come back stronger after this minor setback, well done Mark.
  • Chichester Sprint Triathlon: James Coxon raced the Chicester Sprint Triathlon on the weekend and did extremely well in a stacked field, coming 10th overall and 2nd in his age group. Well done James!
  • Hever Middle Distance Triathlon: Paul Fairclough raced at the stunning Hever Castle this weekend. Sickness on the run curtailed a PB performance, but Paul dug in there and finished the race; congrats Paul, well done for getting to the finish line.
