This past weekend we had lots of WhittleFit athletes racing, lets see how they got on:

  • European Sprint Triathlon Championships: Andrew ‘Pops” Martin raced the European Sprint Championships in Dusseldorf this weekend and had a great race. Unfortunately, he crashed on the bike, but was brave enough to get back on the bike (the stewards wouldn’t let him originally as they thought he had broken his leg!) and finished the race in 5th place! He was so close to medal position and definitely would have been on the podium if not for the crash. Well done Pops, amazing effort!
  • Pembrokeshire Triathlon: Tom Foster raced the Pembrokeshire Olympic Triathlon in Broad Haven on Saturday, racing extremely well to move up through the field on the bike and run to finish on the podium in 3rd place (behind GB triathlete James Hockin and Ironman professional Oliver Simon). Well done, great result!
  • Cardiff Triathlon: WhittleFit had lots of athletes racing at the Cardiff Triathlon on Sunday, in all of the races, including the Olympic distance race, the Sprint race and the Super Sprint race. Everyone had a great race, with lots of PB’s and several athletes placing very well in their age group categories. Gareth Hodgson was the stand out of the day, with an excellent 2nd place in the Olympic distance race, nice work Gareth!
  • Crawley Triathlon: James Coxon raced the Crawley Sprint Triathlon yesterday and only went and won it! Great work James, onwards and upwards!
  • Stuttgart Half Marathon: coach Henry travelled to Stuttgart to race the Stuttgart Half Marathon this weekend and away with a solid time of 1:22, well done coach!
